ibVPN recently expanded their network with new VPN servers located in Spain and Italy. More specifically they added a server in Madrid, Spain and a server in Milan, Italy. ibVPN now manages over 50 servers in fifteen countries. With support for OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP and a wide range of account options depending on which countries you want to connect through. Their prices start at $7.95 a month to access all 15 countries.
As with all new server locations we tested the speed for both servers. Starting with Madrid, Spain:
As you can see we connected with the ibVPN client using OpenVPN. Testing with Speedtest.net we were able to achieve a download speed of 1.54 Mbps and upload speed of 2.23 Mbps. Testing from the United States.
Next we tested the new ibVPN server in Milan, Italy:
Once again we connected using the ibVPN Windows client and OpenVPN protocol. We were able to get up to 2.78 Mbps download speed and 2.44 Mbps upload speed. Again testing from the United States.
To gain access to the new VPN servers in Spain and Italy you’ll want to sign up for one of these three ibVPN accounts – Ultimate, Total or EU. Prices range from $4.95 to $10.95 a month with term discounts available. Take a look at our ibVPN review to learn more about the service or visit ibvpn.com to sign up.
